The Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments is preparing the Long Range Transportation Plan for our region. The results of this outdoor recreational survey will be incorporated into the Plan, which will include discussion of all forms of transportation, including for recreation, commuting or business purposes, whether it be on foot, bicycle or by automobile, etc.. In order to have a well-rounded Plan, we need public input, thus your time in completing this survey is greatly appreciated!
For the purposes of this survey, “outdoor recreation” refers to the use of trails, roads, parks, waterbodies, and other places for an alternative form of transportation, whether for recreation or commuting purposes and also includes activities that you can do while on the roads, trails, in parks or on the water. More specifically, the activities included in “outdoor recreation” for this survey include walking, jogging, running, bicycling, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, horse-back riding, rollerblading/inline skating, bird/wildlife watching, photography and cross-country skiing, or anything similar that does not use motorized vehicles; either individually or in groups. Survey deadline: January 1, 2020.
